Phebe Wahl now an EIC at Modern Luxury

In November of 2016, Atlanta-based beauty editor Phebe Wahl was named to the post of editor-in-chief for Modern Luxury Magazine’s Manhattan and Beach (The Hamptons) editions. (See nypost.com/2016/11/17/modern-luxury-names-new-editor-in-chief-2.) She was tabbed for that position after being the top editor for Modern Luxury’s Brides Atlanta magazine (check out the 10-question interview she did for The Bridal Council at thebridalcouncil.com/10-questions-for-phebe-wahl-national-bridal-editor-for-modern-luxury-weddings)

Ms. Wahl really gets around, in an editorial sense. She’s been, and remains, a contributing editor for The Atlantan, Jezebel, Atlanta Homes & Lifestyles, Red Tricycle and other publications. (See redtri.com/author/rtphebewahl.) She even covers non-bridal topics for Modern Luxury’s non-Atlanta (and non-New York) markets, such as when she produced a fact-dense piece on luxury retail makeup outlet Bluemercury expanding heavily into the Los Angeles market. (See modernluxury.com/los-angeles/features/bluemercurys-barry-beck-expands-his-empire-eye-la - Bluemercury's Barry Beck Expands his Empire with an Eye on L.A. by Phebe Wahl.)

Ah, the ceaseless vagaries of the journalism business. Luckily for Phebe, when in May of 2017 Modern Luxury acquired several competitors’ titles, she was chosen to remain in her EIC role. (See foliomag.com/new-modern-luxury-begins-take-shape.)
